PHP Processes on Linux Hosts (CVE-2026-109618, CVE-2026-109619)

Lists Linux hosts that ran a PHP interpreter (CLI, php-fpm, php-cgi, lsphp) in the search window, with the binary path and last execution. Scoping list for the php2shell vulnerabilities.

CQL · Falcon Next-Gen SIEMCopy query
#event_simpleName=ProcessRollup2 event_platform=Lin
| FileName=/^(php(-fpm|-cgi)?[0-9.]*|lsphp[0-9.]*)$/i // add other PHP SAPIs used in your environment
| groupBy([aid, ImageFileName], function=[count(as=Executions), max(@timestamp, as=LastSeen)], limit=max)
| match(file="aid_master_main.csv", field=aid, include=[ComputerName], strict=false)
| LastSeen := formatTime("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S", field=LastSeen)
| table([ComputerName, aid, ImageFileName, Executions, LastSeen], limit=20000)

What it looks for: ProcessRollup2 events on Linux where FileName matches a PHP binary: php, php-fpm, php-cgi or lsphp, with or without a version suffix such as php-fpm8.3 or php82. One row per host and ImageFileName, so a host running two PHP branches shows up twice.

Telemetry needed: Falcon sensor process telemetry, Linux only. ComputerName comes from aid_master_main.csv.

False positives / tuning: Build hosts and CI runners that only use the PHP CLI also appear. Filter them out on ImageFileName or keep only php-fpm, php-cgi and lsphp if you care about web-facing workers. PHP loaded as an Apache module (mod_php) runs inside httpd/apache2 and is not caught here.

Notes: The path often shows the branch (Debian/Ubuntu php-fpm8.2, Remi /opt/remi/php83/), never the patch level. Check the installed version on the host or in Spotlight before marking a system as fixed. CERT-EU Advisory 2026-018
